ABOUT THE ARTIST
I became interested in photography in 1978 having purchased my first camera, a Canon SLR. I did not know how operate it, or know any of the basic skills.
In 1980 I enrolled in a beginners photography class at the New School. I was hooked immediately after taking and developing my first roll of film.
The learning curve and the challenge to excel in the art has never ceased to intrigue me. After 26 years utilizing film and Darkroom, I embarked on the journey of learning how to capture images digitally and now can present them in mediums of color or monochrome.
The voyage of learning and discovery is never ending.
I have been photographing and producing Black & White images for nearly 26 years. During that time I have been in many Juried exhibitions receiving Jurors' Awards as well as having many single and joint exhibitions in various galleries and venues. The Bibliotheque Nationale de France has archived 3 of my prints. I am also in the collection of the New York Historical Socety.
Most of the images in these albums have been captured digitally. I use a 9000 Nikon scanner for 35mm and 120mm film and a 4870 epson scanner for 4x5 film.
