I never tire of wandering through neighborhoods capturing the never ending panoply of scenes and people that is New York City.

Older cars present themselves with many parts as sculptures; modern autos with few exceptions, look alike and are boring.

The motorcycle, the bike's younger sibling strikes me differently. It is composed of many finely sculptured components each with its own individual beauty, both utilitarian and visual.

I am fascinated by the ubiquity and number of bicycles, and most of all by the beautiful visual form of bike and rider. And the many photo opportunities caused by the countless interactions with light and shadow.

Shadows and reflections which are influenced by the positions of the sun and earth's relationship to each other, changing from moment to moment creating a perpetual challenge to capture these fleeting images.
